Pancreatic Cancer: Know it. Fight it. End it.

November is National Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Join in the fight against the fourth leading cause of cancer death in our country by getting active.

Here are seven easy things you can do:

1. Raise awareness with your family, friends and colleagues by visiting the different pancreatic websites and sharing the information;

2. Get involved with your local community affiliates – SJ Sharks night for Pancreatic Cancer on 11/12/09;

3. Contact your local media by sending a letter to the editor;

4. Contact your member of Congress by sending a letter asking them to support house bill H.R. 745 and funding it;

5. Donate to any number of pancreatic cancer research groups, do your homework and read about their mission ;

6. View and forward to your friends, family and work colleagues a moving 60 second PSA done by the PanCAN group http://pancan.org/section_about/news_press_center/video_library/video_general_psa_9_16_09.php. and finally

7. Create your own webpage to raise funds.
