Humans of UCSF: Breathing Easier

Monday, January 16, 2017

"I have always been concerned about the harms of secondhand smoke, especially since I was diagnosed with asthma at a young age.

Prior to UCSF, I worked as a paralegal on tobacco litigation, which led me to my current position at UCSF where I study and write reports about state and local tobacco policy making.

I think it's great that prop 56 easily passed. I hope this success will influence other states to increase their tobacco tax since increasing tobacco taxes is an effective policy to reduce tobacco use."
