The UCSF School of Medicine is committed to diversity and equality. Below is a letter sent by Interim Dean of the School of Medicine Bruce Wintroub in December 2014:

Dear Colleagues,

Good afternoon. Thank you all for being here today.

On Nov. 19, UC regents voted 7–2 to raise professional school supplemental tuition, over the vocal and visible protests of many UC students who said the tuition raises were unfair and unjustified.

The biennial GSICEbreaker event on November 12th, brought together over 200 graduate students, postdocs to meet with UCSF alumni and friends from a diverse array of career paths.
