I think it can be hard to strike a balance between being ambitious in one's chosen profession, while also being cognizant of tending to other areas of life.

Have you ever wondered, what culture truly means? More importantly, how does an individual’s culture and diverse experiences contribute to their identity?

"It all started 10 years ago. I was a dental tech, but had to stop when I got into a car accident. I started making jewelry during my time on disability and I made so much I didn't know what to do with it.

"From the day I came to UCSF in 1991 I have been proud and humbled to be part of this institution and so happy to be living in the Bay Area.

I first learned about Vocal Chords, UCSF’s one and only a cappella group, through a co-worker of mine, when I was first hired in 2014 at the Blood Bank. Each of the members have our own unique professional associations with the school, but we are brought together by our love for music and for making music through vocal harmony.

"Diwali, or Festival of Lights, is the victory of goodness over all the evil that exists in the world. It symbolizes happiness, prosperity, and light.

"When I think about growing old in this country, unless you have a really tight family and/or a chosen family, growing old is not pretty.

The Associated Students of the School of Nursing hosted the Fall Social on October 21st from 4:30 to 6:30, and it was a huge success!

Superman represents hope and the ability to conquer adversity against all odds. Hope plays a significant part throughout our lives. Once you choose hope, anything is possible.
