Great California ShakeOut

Tuesday, October 7, 2014

On Thursday, October 16, 2014, at 10:16 a.m., UCSF is participating in the Great ShakeOut, a national earthquake emergency preparedness drill that involves over 9.2 million households, businesses, schools and public agencies. During the drill UCSF Police will activate and deploy the UCSF volunteer Campus Emergency Response Teams and Emergency Operations Center to test our Emergency Response Management Plan.

At approximately 8:00 a.m., prior to the official event, the UCSF Police Department will send a WarnMe test message to all official UCSF e-mail addresses, personal email addresses and devices registered for text messages. We will also activate the electronic alert beacons in various conference room spaces at Parnassus, Mission Bay and MCB locations.

During this test, you will be asked to acknowledge receipt of the alert. Please respond as prompted. To register your text enabled mobile phones and other personal communication devices go to: warnme.ucsf.edu.
