With Arms Wide Open
The brown pelican is one of the most prominent birds found on the southern and western coasts of the United States. Scientifically known as Pelecanus occidentalis, they fly in squadrons and deep dive to catch fish. Once on the brink of extinction, today they can be seen fairly commonly in San Francisco around Golden Gate Bridge, Crissy Field or Golden Gate Park. This particular picture motivates us to give our best to whatever we take up and to fly with our arms wide open.
