Paddling with Serenity

After a particularly heavy day at the dental clinics, while on my way back home, I had the chance to see the Hooded Merganser (Lophodytes cucullatus) at Golden Gate Park. The bird is migratory and visits the Bay Area during the winter months from Canada and the Pacific Northwest. As I saw the 'Hoodie', it stuck me of the tremendous challenges he may have faced while on the long flight and yet the serenity around him was infectious, reminding me once again of how patience and calmness can help us not to let the out worldly turbulence affect our inner self.
