Sutro Tower

Sutro Tower, as seen from Alta Plaza Park in Pac Heights. The westward setting sun blasts an orange columnated glow, warming a bare tree and a huddled couple. Late November 2022, the wind at this elevation combats the sun’s burn (and wins). Clouds are forming and dissipating at the western base of Mount Sutro -Hi Karl, why so shy this evening? The roofs in the foreground blend to form a planar canopy. But it’s only a mirage -a labyrinth of hills before me. A pale blue sky with a brim of yellow at the horizon. On the left of the image, we see Alamo Square Park in the distance -a dark green clump from here. San Francisco, California.
