Under the Pier

This photo was taken under the pier. On one side, there is an oversaturation of light which accentuates the shining sea and white capped waves. On the other side, the shade cast by the pier lets us see the deep green blue color of the ocean. The pier itself, with its lines of columns, dominates the center of this photo. Additionally, the wet sand creates a mirrored image of the column along the ground. While the pier divides the ocean and this photo in half, the end of the pier looks like a small window out onto the vastness of the ocean.
