Humans of UCSF: Casey Jones
"Today I sat at the bedside of a man with advanced ALS and discussed his medical choices for prolonging or ending his life. Later I worked with an Indonesian nurse on his resume as he seeks his first job in the US. After lunch I worked on a project with a US veteran nurse in collaboration with the Center for Advance Practice at Stanford. In the evening I made plans for a study session and a meal to catch up with a nurse from Jordan. UCSF has connected me to the world. I am right where I want to be, learning to be an advance practice nurse. I'm living among the dreamers, grateful for every opportunity."
