Share Your Science Enthusiasm
Do you want to gain teaching experience? Inspire young people in science? Contribute to the community by working with K-12 students? Share your enthusiasm about science by partnering with teachers to bring hands-on, engaging science activities to students in San Francisco’s public schools.
The Science and Health Education Partnership (SEP) offers a wide range of programs in support of science education. SEP’s classroom partnership programs bring together UCSF volunteers and San Francisco K-12 teachers to co-plan and co-teach a series of four investigative science lessons during the spring semester.
The volunteer commitment is 20 to 25 hours, which can be flexibly scheduled from January to June.
SEP also maintains a large lending library of hands-on science materials available to facilitate active science teaching.
Professional students, graduate students, post-docs, research scientists and faculty are all eligible to apply for SEP’s programs.
