But some choices are traps and each time
You fall into that net it seems the options recede.
Pay attention to those without alternative
They tell us it is our duty to protect them but
In our own hole of options we struggle to help.
We reach out to offer aid, trying not to let our own
Descent reveal itself to those we see as weak.
