Hong Kong: Beauty in Unrest

Hong Kong. A beautiful city, but also one of unrest. I painted this for a friend who recently had an impactful trip there. He soaked in the richness of the culture but also witnessed first-hand the chaos in the riots.

I’ve found that it's vital for me to stay connected with good friends who can share their unique experiences and remind me that there is, indeed, a vibrant life beyond my own bubble. Since school can often be analytical and structured, painting is incredibly therapeutic for me and helps me slow down when everything else seems to want to rush on.
