Perspective in the PNW

Paradise base area during the middle of summer 2024. We had an exceptionally clear day and were able to see several nearby volcanoes, including Mt Adams which is pictured. I hustled to frame these two hikers in the foreground and I really love how their size is so incredibly small compared to the landscape. The shadows and natural gradient of grays made me feel like a modern Ansel Adams at first glance, but of course it was the mountain that did all of the work.
