Taking a Moment to Rest

Are red pandas bears or raccoons? This question intrigues many animal-lovers and scientists alike. Regardless, their population keeps decreasing at dangerous rates and their estimated population as low as 2,500 in the world. This picture immortalizes the emotional connection I observed between this red panda and its dandelion in the San Francisco Zoo. This picture portrays nature caring for one another, where the red panda bows and lays next to the dandelion and the grass serves as a comfortable bedding to the red panda. The high-resolution of the picture allows the spectator to appreciate the texture and colors of the subject, leaving the spectator wondering what it would be like to hug and pet this red panda.
