Tokyo Quiet Life

I took this photo two summers ago on a trip to Japan. While most of the trip was busy and filled with bustling city life, we also got to explore a quieter side of life further in the countryside. I really enjoyed the contrast between the high-energy, constant movement in cities and the slower, peaceful experiences everywhere else. I took this photo as we explored residential neighborhoods. I was grateful to get an inside look at daily life in Japan and sides not often shown in media. Here, we met several locals who were incredibly welcoming and helped us find our way around.
