Humans of UCSF: Challenging Lessons
“In addition to the challenge of learning how to teach, I went through an identity crisis. I had to go from being a carefree college student to a responsible role model, and I was woefully unprepared. Every day felt like an exercise in failure, and no one was to blame but myself. I was emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted. But after two years I had learned so much more than I could have ever taught, and for that I will always be grateful.”
