Humans of UCSF: Finding Love

Thursday, October 12, 2017

“Before beginning my path toward dentistry I lived in New York City. My friend and her coworker were visiting from Arizona and we met up for drinks. Happy hour turned into ‘regular hour,’ which then turned into a week of showing off the city. By the end of their trip, we had gotten so close and I was devastated at the thought of never seeing this friend of a friend again. So, rather than say ‘goodbye,’ we instead said ‘see you soon’ and continued to date. That was three years ago and we just got married last year. Her confidence in me is what got me here, to UCSF School of Dentistry, and is what will continue to help me through these next four years. From NYC to SF, from happy hour to marriage. I’m so thankful I decided to get that one drink three years ago."
