Have you ever noticed how a waterfall falls?
Spirits of glacial spittle traverse
towards the earth at different rates.
it’s like gravity cheers inequity,
hurling some at suicidal velocities
and some with graceful tact.
this is depression.
Gravity, inertia discriminates some,
the pull hurts and it controls
with what grace you feel the dol-
drums.
At first some spittles are slow then get fast,
switch roles as they last.
seeing others float down, enjoy life like a snack
just adds another gravity tax.
But yet all the water gets to the bottom,
To the stream, level and calm.
