I am a young woman
On oral contraceptives
And ripe for endothelial injury:
I am afflicted with clumsiness
And poor depth perception
(And occasionally ataxic just to be dramatic)
I am waiting for the day I deboard
The airplane flying for 14 hours and counting

With my hypercoagulable blood
Coursing through my poor vasculature-
On my way to spring breakin’ Miami!
And of course a saddle embolus lodges
In my pulmonary trunk,
Killing me instantly.
